They include a keyhole saw, brass faucet, 55 gallon food grade plastic barrel, screen, houses to connect the barrel for rainwater, silicon caulking, epoxy glue, chlorine bleach, power drill and a normal drill bit.

You can get the 55 gallon food grade plastic from the recycling stores. You can also check for it in any restaurant.

The barrel needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Use the chlorine bleach to ensure that the barrel is completely clean. Washing the barrel with warm soapy water and a brush can also make the barrel ready for water harvesting. Then rinse it with some water and vinegar.

After you have cleaned the barrel, cut a hole in the lid of your barrel. You should drill a quarter inch hole and use the saber saw to give it good diameter.

Put a piece of window screen on to the side of the hole you have drilled. Use epoxy glue to stick it on the opening.

Make a hole about half an inch and should do it three to four inches up from the bottom of the barrel. Then do the same on the upper side of the barrel.

Put brass faucets into each of the holes that you have just drilled. Put some silicon caulking at the base of the taps to ensure that there is no leakage.

You can then connect your barrel to the gutter pipes which will enable it to harvest rain water for you. You can use rain water for your garden and the lawn with no further costs.
